I wish we saw more european cars in Canada such as Peugeot and Renault. They seem like very good vehicule + great fuel economy. i think if they retried to penetrate North America, we would be more receptive (compared to the last failed attempt by the french makers in the 80's): gas is now getting prohibitively expensive. we are waiting...

I agree Martin.... in the U.S. its rare that you see a Peugeot or Renault and if you do its from the 80's.

I was suprised to see them everywhere in France (U.S. ignorance of the world). I wish the U.S. would realize that driving around in large SUV's and trucks does not help the atmosphere and global warming issues.

I believe that the government's need to step in and make it a priority by implementing regulations and restrictions on auto makers and purchasers of large vehicles!

Like you, I'll wait and see!

You are, indeed, only as good as your weakest link, and management of the supply chain is a frequently overlooked aspect of sustainable development applied to business. Back to European cars, they do seem to be way ahead of the North Americans, and dare I venture to suggest, the Japanese as well. The Toyota Prius gets a lot of good press, but take a look at Guy Negre is doing with compressed air cars.
